2nd Annual Yoga Garden Retreat Photo Contest

Don't forget to stop and photograph the roses…

One of my teacher’s was given the assignment by his teacher to take photos of beauty. His first response was: “shouldn’t I be doing more postures or meditation?” His teacher said “Yes, yes…but do the photos.”

A few months – and many beautiful photos later – he has a wonderful experience of his heart opening and a deep in swelling of love and ecstasy. By taking time to get many great photos he was really taking time to stop and notice it and “capture” it, and he captured it more than with just his camera. Take time to stop and notice the beauty around you.

And… if you're into photography, well… we have a little contest for you.

The Contest

While you are at the retreat, when you capture a beautiful picture, you can submit it to the 1st Annual Yoga Garden Retreat Photo Contest pictures to yogagarden.ca. Many of them will be posted on the web site (with our without your name as you indicate). At the end of the season we’ll select a number of them and set up a contest where you can vote on them.

You can submit your entry by completing the Photo Contest Entry Form.

This contest is open to anyone who comes to the Yoga Garden retreat centre, including everyone who participates in workshops and volunteers. Please note that all submissions must be taken at or on the way to the Yoga Garden retreat centre. The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2009 and you can submit up to 10 photos. Please complete a new form for each submission.
